Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account or sign in using Apple Sign In or Google Sign In, we collect: name (first and last), email address (personal or Apple private relay address), provider identifier (Apple or Google account ID), and membership number (assigned upon account creation).

Content Access Metadata

We maintain records of which content is assigned to your account or group, including content assignment records, group membership data, and access timestamps.

Usage and Diagnostic Data

When you use the app, we may collect: device information (model, OS version), app usage events (play, pause, complete, resume), and crash reports.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to create and manage your account, authenticate your identity via Apple Sign In or Google Sign In, authorize access to assigned content, deliver app functionality, secure the service, provide customer support, comply with legal obligations, and improve app reliability.

3. Authentication Providers

Apple Sign In: Apple may provide a private relay email address instead of your personal email. We store the provider identifier and account metadata needed to maintain your access.

Google Sign In: We receive your Google account email and profile information and store the Google account identifier and email as needed to manage your account.

4. Third-Party Service Providers

Account and content-assignment records may be stored and processed using: Dropbox (cloud storage), Microsoft Azure (backend infrastructure), Apple (Sign in with Apple), and Google (Google Sign In).

5. User-Generated Content and Moderation

Uploaded content may be reviewed to enforce our Terms of Use and applicable law. Content may be removed and accounts suspended where content is unlawful, infringing, harmful, or otherwise violates platform rules.

6. Data Retention

Personal data is retained only as long as reasonably necessary for account administration, security, dispute handling, and legal compliance. Some records may be retained after deletion requests where required by law or fraud prevention.

7. Account Deletion

You may initiate account deletion from within the app through Settings → Account → Delete Account. Deletion requests are processed subject to lawful retention obligations.

8. Children

The service is not directed to children under 13 years of age. Accounts should not be created for underage users without lawful authorization where required.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, withdraw consent, or lodge a complaint with a privacy regulator. To exercise these rights, contact support@cogvan.in.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the app after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
